Served: in garrison at David's Island, Sep. 30 to Nov. 1, 1871, — in Chicago, Ill., Nov. 3, 1871, to May 3, 1872; on frontier duty at Beaver City, Utah, May 25, 1872, to Nov. 7, 1873 (on escort duty with Wheeler's Exploring Expedition west of 100th Meridian, July 12, 1872, to Jan. 17, 1873); at the Military Academy as Asst. Professor of Mathematics, Nov. 20, 1873, to Aug. 28, 1878; in garrison at San Diego Barracks, Cal., Sep. 25, 1878, to Apr. 21, 1880, — Ft. Yuma, Cal., to Mar. 26, (First Lieut., 8th Infantry, July 26, 1880) 1882, — Regimental Quartermaster, Mar. 1, 1882, to Feb. 29, 1884, — and Angel Island, Cal. (leave of absence, July 20 to Oct. 19, 1883), to Mar. 10, 1884; at the Military Academy as Asst. Professor of Natural and Experimental Philosophy, to Oct. 30, 1889; and on sick leave of absence, to –––––. Vol. IV Military History. —
