Served: on frontier duty at Ft. Totten, Dak., Oct. 6, 1871, to Oct., 1872, — Ft. Abercrombie, Dak., to Oct., 1873, — and Ft. Seward, Dak., to Sep. 22, 1874; and on leave of absence, to Dec. 31, 1874. Resigned, Dec. 31, 1874. Civil History. — Counselor at Law, Buffalo, N. Y., since 1874. Vol. IV Civil History. — Unknown.º Vol. V (Born March 27, 1850) Civil History. — Practiced law from Nov. 1, 1877, to present time at Buffalo, N. Y., except while serving in Volunteer Army during Spanish-American War. — Appointed Judge Advocate of Volunteers with rank of Lieut.‑Colonel, May 13, 1898. — Served as Judge Advocate of Third Army Corps until August 25, 1898, and as Judge Advocate of Seventh Army Corps in Cuba until April 25, 1899. Honorably mustered out of service June, 1899. — Residence, Buffalo, N. Y. Vol. VI Military History. — Second Lieut., 20th Infantry, June 12, 1871. Resigned, Dec. 31, 1874.
