Born Aug. 11, 1850, Homewood, PA.a Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, July 1, 1868, to June 14, 1872, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to Second Lieut., 12th Infantry, June 14, 1872. p185 Served on graduation leave of absence, June 14 to Sep. 21, 1872. Resigned, Sep. 21, 1872. Civil History. — Assistant Engineer, Pennsylvania Railroad Company, 1872‑80, except July to Sep., 1873, while making Surveys in connection with the projected bridge over the Hudson at Poughkeepsie, N. Y. Died, July 24, 1881, at Philadelphia, Pa.: Aged 30. See Annual Association of Graduates, U. S. M. A., 1882, for an obituary notice.º Buried, Homewood Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA. |
