Civil History. — Engaged in printing business and in newspaper publishing; edited newspapers at Pekin, Ill., and at Peoria, Ill.; for four years at Rapid City, Mich., published the Rapid City Rustler; afterwards moved to Alden where he published the Alden Argus; at time of his death he was working in a printing office in Bellaire, Mich., and in passing a press in operation, his arm was caught and he was drawn into the machinery and killed.

Died, June 19, 1917, at Bellaire, Mich.: Aged 72.

Buried, Lakeview Cemetery, Bellaire, MI.
