Rice, Dak., May 18 to July 10, 1875, — Standing Rock Agency, Dak., July 12, 1875, to Apr. 23, 1876, — and Ft. Buford, Dak., May 3, 1876, to Oct. 26, 1877 (Sioux Expedition, May 14 to Sep. 17, 1876, and at Ft. Peck, Mon., May 11 to Oct. 19, 1877); on leave of absence, Oct. 26, 1877, to July 3, 1878, — Ft. Buford, Dak., July 3, 1878, to Aug. 6, 1880, (First Lieut., 6th Infantry, Dec. 15, 1880) — and Camp on Snake River, Wy., to Apr. 25, 1881; under instruction in Military Signaling at Ft.
