Served: on frontier duty at Ft. Dodge, Kan., Oct. 4, 1872, to July 31, 1874, — Expedition to Indian Territory, to Feb. 13, 1875, as Battalion Adjutant, being engaged in the Action on Red River, Tex., Aug. 30, 1874, — Scouting, Mar.‑Apr., 1875, — en route for Arizona, May 14 to July, 1875, — Camp Grant, Ara.,º to Dec. 10, 1875, — and Prescott, Ara., to Feb. 3, 1876; and on leave of absence, to June 30, 1876.

Resigned, June 30, 1876.
