Served: on frontier duty at Ft. Snelling, Min., Sep. 30, 1872, to Aug. 17, 1875. — Ft. Pembina, Dak., Oct. 8, 1875, — Ft. Snelling, Min., to Mar. 20, 1876, — Ft. A. Lincoln, Dak. to May 17, 1876, — on Sioux Expedition, to Sep. 16, 1876, being in command of Gatling Gun Battery, Apr. to Sep., 1876, — Ft. Snelling, Min., to Apr., 1877, — Acting Assistant (First Lieut., 20th Infantry, Apr. 7, 1877) Engineer on Yellowstone Expedition, Apr. 22 to Dec. 28, 1877, — Ft. Brown, Tex., Jan. 13, 1878 (leave of absence and on delay, June 21 to Nov., 1880), to Nov. 5, 1881, — Ft. Gibson, I. T. (Scouting, Mar.‑Apr., and July to Oct., 1883), to May 14, 1885, — and Ft.
