Born Feb. 8, 1852, Pittston, PA.a Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, July 1, 1868, to June 14, 1872, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to Second Lieut., 10th Cavalry, June 14, 1872. Served: on frontier duty at Ft. Sill, I. T., Oct. 6, 1872, to Feb. 3, 1873, — conducting prisoners to Huntsville, Tex., to Mar. 6, 1873, — and Ft. Richardson, Tex., to July 18, 1874; and on leave of absence, to Nov. 18, 1874. Resigned, Nov. 18, 1874. Civil History. — Cashier of the Miners' Savings Bank of Pittston, Pa., since 187–––. Vol. IV Died, May 30, 1894, at Pittston, Pa.: Aged 43. See Annual Association of Graduates, U. S. M. A., 1894, for an obituary notice. Buried, Saint John the Evangelist Cemetery, Pittston, PA. |
