M., Mar. 17, 1877, to Sep. 12, 1878, — and on detached service, at Tularosa, N. M., to Dec. 30, 1878; on frontier duty at Ft. Stanton, N. M., to Oct., (First Lieut., 9th Cavalry, Apr. 4, 1879) 1879, — Ft. Bayard, N. M., to June, 1880, — and Indian Expedition to Nov. 25, 1880; on leave of absence, to Jan., 1881; as Regimental Quartermaster, Jan. 1, 1881, to May 1, 1883; on frontier duty at Santa Fé, N.
