Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, July 1, 1869, to June 13, 1873, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to

Second Lieut., 12th Infantry, June 13, 1873.

Served: in garrison at Angel Island, Cal., Oct. 1 to Nov. 6, 1873, — and Camp Gaston, Cal., to Sep. 30, 1874; and on leave of absence, to Jan. 1, 1875.

Resigned, Jan. 1, 1875.

Civil History. — Manufacturer of Fire Bricks, Clay Retorts, and Sewer Pipe, at St. Louis, Mo., since 1875.
