Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, July 1, 1870, to June 16, 1875, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to Second Lieut., 4th Artillery, June 16, 1875. Served: in garrison at the Presidio, San Francisco, Cal., Sep. 30, 1875, to June 3, 1876, — and Sitka, Alas., June 17, 1876, to June 14, 1877; on Nez Percés Expedition, to July 25, 1877; on sick leave of absence, Aug. 1, 1877, to Feb. 1, 1878; on Court-martial duty at San Diego Barracks, Cal., Feb. 1 to April 1, 1878; and on sick leave of absence, Apr. 1, 1878, to June 16, 1879. Died, June 16, 1879, at San Diego, Cal.: Aged 27. See Annual Association of Graduates, U. S. M. A., 1880, for an obituary notice.º Buried, Old Burying Ground, Gardner, MA. |
