Sanders, Wy., to Sep. 3, 1877 (leave of absence, Dec. 23, 1876, to Feb. 16, 1877), — Ft. Custer, Mon., Sep. 30, 1877, to July 30, 1878, — Scouting, to Sep. 19, 1878, — Ft. Custer, Mon., Sep. 19, 1878, to Apr. 19, 1879, — Ft. Ellis, Mon., to Dec. 7, 1881, — Ft. (First Lieut., 2d Cavalry, Oct. 26, 1881) Custer, Mon., and guarding construction parties on Northern Pacific Railroad, to July 26, 1883, — Ft. Assinniboine, Mt., to June 3, 1884, — and Ft. Bidwell, Cal., to Dec. 26, 1885; and in garrison at Jefferson Barracks, Mo., to May 4, 1886. Died, May 4, 1886, at Jefferson Barracks, Mo.: Aged 36.
