Major-General Willcox, Mar. 21, 1878, to Jan. 31, 1879; on frontier duty at Ft. Bowie, Ara., and Scouting, to Jul. 9, 1880, — Ft. Thomas, Ara., and Scouting, to Apr. 24, 1881, — (First Lieut., 6th Cavalry, June 3, 1880) Ft. Huachuca, Ara., to Jul. 24, 1881, — Ft. McDowell, Ara., to Dec. 30, 1881, — and Ft. Huachuca, Ara., and Scouting, to Aug. 20, 1883; under instruction at Ft. Leavenworth, Kan. (Infantry and Cavalry School of Application), Sep. 1, 1883, to July 1, 1884; on frontier duty on Indian Expedition, Sep. 1, 1884, to Feb. 11, 1885, — Ft. Bayard, N. M., and Scouting, to July 30, 1887, — and Ft. Stanton, N. M., to Sep. 28, 1887. Died Sep. 28, 1887, at Ft. Stanton, N. M.: Aged 35. Buried, Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. |
