Served: on leave of absence and awaiting orders, June 15 to Dec. 16, 1877; on frontier duty at Cheyenne Agency, Dak., Dec. 16, 1877, to Jan. 17, 1879 (leave of absence, to May 20, 1879), — and Ft. Bennett, Dak., to July 28, 1879; at the Military Academy as Assistant Professor of French, Aug. 28, 1879, to Aug. 28, 1883; on leave of absence, to Dec. 15, 1883; on frontier duty at Ft. Bennett, Dak., to Jan. 7, 1886, — (First Lieut., 11th Infantry, Apr. 24, 1886) and Ft. Sully, Dak., to July 31, 1887; in garrison at Madison Barracks, N. Y., to –––––; and as Regimental Adjutant, Dec. 1, 1889, to –––––. Vol. IV Military History. — Served: At Madison Barracks, N. Y., to July 24, 1890. Died July 24, 1890, at Madison Barracks, N.
