Served: on frontier duty, Scouting in Idaho, June 30 to July 8, 1877, — and Nez Percés Expedition, July 12 to Oct. 8, 1877; awaiting orders, to Dec. 30, 1877; and on leave of absence, Dec. 30, 1877, to Mar. 1, 1878. Resigned, Mar. 1, 1878. Civil History. — Counselor at Law, San Francisco, Cal., 1880‑83. Lieut.‑Colonel, California Militia, 1881‑82. Died, Feb. 8, 1883, at San Gabriel, Cal.:b Aged 27. Obituary notice in Annual Report, Association of Graduates, for 1883. Buried, Mountain View Cemetery, Oakland, CA. |
