Samuel Pierce Wayman​a

Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, July 1, 1873, to June 14, 1877, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to

Second Lieut., 24th Infantry, June 15, 1877.

Served: on leave of absence and awaiting orders, June 15, 1877, to Jan. 14, 1878; and on frontier duty at Ft. Brown, Tex., Jan. 14 to Apr. 8,  p289 1878, — Ft. McKavett, Tex., Apr. 23 to May 7, 1878, — San Diego, Tex., to July 31, 1878, — and Ft. McIntosh, Tex., to May 2, 1879; and on sick leave of absence, to Dec. 16, 1879.

Died, Dec. 16, 1879, at Covington, Ky.: Aged 27.
