T., and Scouting, to Sep. 25, 1879, being engaged in Capturing Outlaws, near the mouth of Cimarron River, I. T., where he was severely wounded, necessitating p292 the amputation of his leg below the knee; sick and on sick leave of absence, disabled by wound, to Sep. 19, 1880; on frontier duty at Ft.
