Riley, Kan., to Mar. 24, 1881 (sick leave of absence, to May 7, 1881), — Scouting in Colorado and Arizona, to Nov. 1, 1881, — Ft. Wingate, N. M. (received a gunshot wound in right leg in line of duty, Mar. 15, 1883, and on leave of absence, Dec. 15, 1883, to Apr. 12, 1884), and Scouting, to June 11, 1884, — Ft. Apache, Ara., to (First Lieut., 4th Cavalry, Nov. 26, 1884) Dec. 26, 1884, — Ft. Grant, Ara., to May 2, 1885, — and Ft. Bowie, Ara., and Scouting, to Aug. 26, 1886; and on leave of absence, to Aug. 29, 1886. Resigned, Sep. 1, 1886. Civil History. — Unknown, nothing authentic having been received. Vol. IV Civilº History. — Major of Engineers in the army of Chile. — Railway engineer, Tehuantepec Railroad, etc. Died April 30, 1893, in Guatemala, C. A.: Aged 38. |
