Leavenworth, Kan., to Oct. 27, 1881 (sick leave, to Oct. 27, 1882, leave of absence, to Nov. 27, 1882, and on delay, to Dec. 9, 1882), — and Ft. Brown, Tex., to July 30, 1883; and on leave, to Mar. 1, 1885, and on leave of absence, to July, 1885. Resigned, July 1, 1885. Civil History. — Unknown, nothing authentic having been received. Vol. V Civil History. — Secretary Island Coal Co., to July, 1890; President Island Coal Co., from July, 1890 to Sept., 1905; President Vandalia Coal Co., of New Jersey and Indiana, since Sept., 1905; President Colonial Coal Co., of Chicago, since 1906; Treasurer Linton Supply Co., since 1905; member Loyal Legion of Indiana; Director and Treasurer Security Trust Co., of Indianapolis. — Post office address, Indianapolis, Indiana.
