Military History. — Joined 22d Infantry as Captain in Northern Luzon, Philippine Islands, Jan., 1900; commanded 2d Battalion, 22d Infantry, from March, 1900 to March, 1901; transferred to the 3d Battalion and commanded it till regiment was ordered home, Feb., 1902, taking station at Fort Crook, Neb., to May 25, 1903.

Major, U. S. A., Retired May 25, disability incident to the Service.

— On duty with the National Guard of Mississippi, Jan., 1904 to Aug., 1905; on duty with the National Guard of Arkansas, from Oct., 1907, till Feb., 1909.
