Born Sep. 11, 1860.a Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, July 1, 1878, to June 13, 1883, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to Second Lieut., Corps of Engineers, June 13, 1883.
Served: on duty with Battalion of Engineers at Willet's Point, N. Y., Sep. 30, 1883, to Oct. 27, 1886; as Assistant to Lieut.‑Colonel (First Lieut., Corps of Engineers, Apr. 20, 1886)
Oct. 30, 1886, to Oct. 6, 1889; as Recorder of Board of Engineer Officers on Lock at or near the Lower Island at Nashville, Ten., Mar. 12‑30, 1887, and of Board of Improvement of Navigation at the Mouth of the Cumberland River, Apr. 28 to June 16, 1888; on sick leave of absence, May 23 to Sep. 21, 1889; and as Assistant to Major Vol. IV
Military History. — Served: Under immediate orders of Major Charles E. L. B. Davis, Oct. 10, 1889 to Jan. 20, 1892; under immediate orders of Major Died Oct. 26, 1898, at St. Louis, Mo.: Aged 38. See Annual Association of Graduates, U. S. M. A., 1899, for an obituary notice. Buried, Woodlawn Cemetery, Winona, MN. |
