Born May 26, 1862 at Jacobstown, NJ.a Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, July 1, 1879, to June 13, 1883, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to Second Lieut., 7th Cavalry, June 13, 1883. Served: on frontier duty at Ft. Yates, Dak., Sep. 30, 1883, to July 27, 1886; on leave of absence, to Oct. 22, 1886; on frontier duty at Ft. Meade, Dak., to June 1, 1888, — and on the march to and at Ft. Riley, Kan., to July 22, 1888; on leave of absence, July 22 to Aug. 4, 1888; and on frontier duty at Ft. Riley, and on march to and from Camp Schofield, I. T., to –––––. Vol. IV Military History. — Served: at Camp Schofield, I. T., in Sept., 1889; (First Lieut. of Cavalry, 4th Cavalry, Feb. 25, 1891) at Fort Riley, Kan., to Feb., 1891; on sick leave to Nov., 1891; (Transferred to 7th Cavalry, Dec. 17, 1891) garrison duty at Fort Riley, Kan., to Aug., 1892. — Professor of Military Science and Tactics at the University of Wyoming, at Laramie, Wyo., Sept., 1892 to Sept., 1895. — On frontier duty at Fort Grant, Ariz., being frequently in the field on the borders of Arizona and New Mexico in the operations against the renegade Apache Indians under Kidd and Massai, until he Died Dec. 15, 1896, at San Bernardino, Ariz.: Aged 34.
