Charles Herschel Cochran: Born Oct. 13, 1860.a Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, July 1, 1878, p374 to June 13, 1883, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to Second Lieut., 7th Infantry, June 13, 1883. Served: on frontier duty with the Department of the Platte Rifle Team at Ft. Omaha, Neb., Sep. 29 to Oct., 1883, — and at Ft. Laramie, Wy., Oct. 3, 1883, to July 7, 1887; on Rifle Competition, to Oct. 6, 1887; and on frontier duty at Camp Pilot Butte, Wy., to ––––– Vol. IV Military History. — Served: at Pilot Butte, Wyo., to Nov., 1890. — Under instruction at the Engineer and Torpedo School, Willets Point, N. Y., Dec. 1, 1890 to Oct. 1, 1891. (First Lieut. of Infantry, 7th Infantry, Feb. 20, 1891) — With regiment at Fort Logan, Colo., until he Died Sept. 29, 1892, at Fort Logan, Colo.: Aged 33.
