Served: in garrison at Ft. Porter, N. Y., Sep. 3, 1884 (leave of absence, Oct. 14, 1886, to Jan. 21, 1887, and on sick leave, July 10 to Oct. 2, 1888), to –––––. Vol. IV Military History. (First Lieut. of Infantry, 23d Infantry, April 27, 1891) Served: Post Quartermaster and Commissary, Fort Davis, Tex., June, 1890 till May 15, 1891. — (Adjutant, 23d Infantry, April 25, 1891 till April 25, 1895) (Fort Sam Houston and Fort Clark, Tex.) — Professor of Military Science and Tactics at St. John's Military School, Manlius, N. Y., Sept. 2, 1895 till April 16, 1898. — On leave of absence, April 25, 1895 till Sept. 2, 1895. — Reported to General Coppinger, at Mobile, Ala., for duty on his staff, April 20, 1898.

(Major, 16th Infantry, March 26, 1907) — At Headquarters, Philippine Division, from June 30 to Aug. 14, when he sailed for U. S.; in command of 1st Battalion, 16th Infantry and Fort Logan H. Roots, Arkansas, from Sept. 23, 1907 to April 18, 1909; sick at post, to May 6, 1909; transferred to Walter Reed General Hospital, Takoma Park, D. C., May 6, 1909; in this hospital, to May 31, 1909; on sick leave to March 1, 1910; re‑entered Walter Reed Hospital, March 1, 1910; remained there till he Died April 17, 1910, at Takoma Park, D.
