Born 1866, Stone Mills, NY.b Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, Sep. 1, 1883, to June 12, 1887, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to Add. Second Lieut., 4th Artillery, June 12, 1887. Second Lieut., 1st Artillery, Aug. 14, 1887. Served: in garrison at the Presidio of San Francisco, Cal., Sep. 30 to Oct. 13, 1887, — Camp Wright, Cal., to Dec. 8, 1887, — Presidio of San Francisco, Cal., to Dec. 15, 1889, — and Ft. Mason, Cal., to –––––. Vol. IV (Transferred to the Ordnance Department, March, 1891) Military History. — Served: At Springfield Armory, Mas., April, 1891 to July, 1892. — Sandy Hook Proving Ground to Feb. 19, 1895. Killed Feb. 19, 1895, by the bursting of a cannon, at Sandy Hook, N. Y.: Aged 29. Buried, Stone Mills Cemetery, Stone Mills, NY. |
