Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, July 1, 1883, to June 12, 1887, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to Add. Second Lieut., 7th Cavalry, June 12, 1887. Served: on frontier duty at Ft. Riley, Kan., Sep. 29 to Dec. 12, 1887, (Second Lieut., 3d Cavalry, Nov. 25, 1887) — and San Antonio, Tex., Dec. 15, 1887, to Mar. 21, 1888; and on leave of absence, to June 1, 1888. Resigned, June 1, 1888. Civil History. — Unknown, nothing authentic having been received. Vol. IV Civil History. — Lawyer, Chicago, Ill. Vol. V Civil History. — Lawyer, Chicago, Ill.; Adjutant, 1st Cavalry, Illinois National Guard, April, 1896, with rank of Captain; Lieut.‑Colonel and Assistant Adjutant-General on Brigade Staff, 1897 to 1898. Died May 20, 1906, at Surry, N. H.: Aged 41. See Annual Association of Graduates, U. S. M. A., 1908, for an obituary notice. Buried, Dellwood Cemetery, Manchester, VT. |
