Bard Pendleton Schencka Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, July 1, 1883, to June 12, 1887, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to Add. Second Lieut., 7th Infantry, June 12, 1887. Second Lieut., 12th Infantry, Sep. 1, 1887. Served on frontier duty at Ft. Abraham Lincoln, N. D., Sep. 29, 1887, to –––––. Vol. IV Military History. — Served: At Fort A. Lincoln, N. D., to July 22, 1891; (First Lieut. of Infantry, 9th Infantry, Jan. 3, 1895) at Fort Yates, N. D., to Feb. 17, 1895; on leave to March 4, 1895; garrison duty at Madison Barracks, N. Y., to July 10, 1896. Wholly Retired, July 10, 1896. Civil History: — Unknown. Died March 10, 1900, at Mochudi in South Africa: Aged 35. See Annual Association of Graduates, U. S. M. A., 1900, for an obituary notice.º |
