Second Lieut., 8th Cavalry, Sep. 28, 1889. Served: on frontier duty at Ft. Lowell, Ara., Sep. 30 to Oct. 12, 1889, — and Ft. Meade, S. D., Oct. 26, 1889, to –––––. Vol. IV Military History. — Served: At Fort Meade, S. D. (in the field at Pine Ridge Agency, S. D., in campaign against Sioux Indians, Nov., 1890 p484 to Feb., 1891), to Oct., 1893. — Professor of Military Science and Tactics at the Vincennes University, Vincennes, Ind., Oct. 24, 1893 (First Lieut. of Cavalry, 7th Cavalry, Dec. 15, 1896) to Oct. 11, 1897. — On garrison duty at Fort Grant, Ariz., to July 16, 1898 (Regimental Quartermaster, July 1 to 16, 1898), when he Died July 16, 1898, at Fort Grant, Ariz.: Aged 32.
