Louis Casper Wolf: Born Jan. 15, 1873.a Military History. — Cadet at the U. S. M. A., from June 21, 1893 to June 11, 1897, when he was graduated and promoted in the army to (Add. Second Lieut., Corps of Engineers, June 11, 1897) Served: As Assistant to Colonel Suter, Sept. 30, 1897 (Second Lieut., Corps of Engineers, July 5, 1898) to Oct. 15, 1898; (First Lieut., Corps of Engineers, Oct. 26, 1898) temporarily to Major Heuer to Nov. 7, 1898; to Colonel Mansfield to Dec. 31, 1898; to Major Davis to –––––; on defensive works at Fort Winfield Scott, Presidio, Fort Mason, Alcatraz Island, and Angel Island, San Francisco Harbor, to ––––– Vol. V Military History. — Served: Assistant to Major Davis, to April 10, 1899, on defensive works at Fort Winfield Scott, Presidio, Fort Mason, Alcatraz Island and Angel Island, San Francisco Harbor, — at Willet's Point, N. Y., with Engineer Battalion, from April 21, 1899 to June 29, 1901.
