Charles Harold Munton: Born Jan. 23, 1877, in Greenville, MI.​a

Military History. — Cadet at the U. S. M. A., from June 15, 1894 to April 26, 1898, when he was graduated and promoted in the army to

(Second Lieut. of Infantry, 23d Infantry, April 26, 1898)

Served: In the Spanish-American war in the Philippines, and against insurgents in Philippines.

(First Lieut. of Infantry, 12th Infantry, March 2, 1899)

— Detached and sent from Manila to San Francisco in command of a U. S. A. transport, and returned in command of another. — Served with 23d Infantry in Jolo, from May 17, 1899 to ––––

Died Feb. 11, 1900, at Sea, en route Manila to San Francisco, Cal.: Aged 23.
