Military History. — Cadet at the U. S. M. A., from June 15, 1894 to April 26, 1898, when he was graduated and promoted in the army to

(Second Lieut. of Infantry, 12th Infantry, April 26, 1898)

Served: With regiment at Tampa, Fla., to June, 1898, and in the campaign against Santiago, Cuba, until mortally wounded in the action at San Juan Hill, Santiago, Cuba, July 1, 1898.

Died July 2, 1898, at El Caney, Cuba, of wounds received in the battle before Santiago, July 1, 1898: Aged 25.
