(Transferred to 10th Infantry, Aug. 18, 1902) — En route to and with the 10th Infantry in the Philippines, from Sept., 1902 to Aug. 17, 1903; Battalion Adjutant, 10th Infantry, March 17, 1903, to March 17, 1905; with 10th Infantry at Presidio of San Francisco, Cal., Aug. 17, 1903 to May, 1905; with Lewis-Clark Exposition, Portland, Ore., May, 1905 to Aug., 1905; general recruiting service, Columbus Barracks, to Feb. 1, 1906. (Captain, 25th Infantry, Sept. 12, 1906) — With 10th Infantry at Fort Wright, Wash., and Fort William H. a Capt. Brown's birthplace is from the 1910 Prism (the yearbook of the University of Maine), p29.
b The most recent volume of the Supplements to Cullum's Register available to me (1950), which may also be the most recent volume in the public domain, does not record Capt. Brown as having died. I've been unable to discover any information as to his death.
