(Le Grand Beaumont Curtis, Born May 9, 1887.)º Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, June 15, 1906 to June 15, 1910, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to (Second Lieut., Coast Artillery Corps) Vol. VI Military History. — Second Lieut., Coast Artillery Corps, June 15, 1910. At Fort Monroe, Va., Sept. 16, 1910, to April 3, 1911; at Fort Adams, R. I., April 5, 1911, to June 16, 1912; (First Lieut., Ordnance Department, by Detail, June 20, 1912) at Watervliet Arsenal, N. Y., June 20, 1912, to January, 1913; at Fort Monroe, Va., being examined for promotion, and while returning to his post by sea, his vessel, the Monroe, was rammed and sunk off the Virginia Capes and he was Drowned, Jan. 30, 1913: Aged 25.
