Second Lieut., 6th Infantry, July 1, 1829. Served: in garrison at Jefferson Barracks, Mo., 1829‑30, — and Ft. Leavenworth, Kan., 1830‑34; on Engineer duty, Sep. 11, 1834, to June 28, 1836, and July 11, 1836, to Oct. 14, 1836; and on leave of absence, 1836‑37. Resigned, May 15, 1837. Civil History. — Civil Engineer, 1837‑40. Counselor at Law, Jonesborough, Ill., 1840‑54. Died, 1854, at Jonesborough, Ill.: Aged 45. |
