(Born June 7, 1896.) Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, July 1, 1915, to June 12, 1918, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to Second Lieut., Field Artillery. Served: At Fort Sill, Oklahoma, as student officer at School of Fire for Field Artillery, July 8 to Sept. 20, 1918; at Camp Funston, Kans., with 30th Field Artillery, to March 3, 1919; at Camp Zachary Taylor, Ky., Instructor in Field Artillery School to June 4; en route to France to June 28; in France on tour of observation to July 18; in Germany with 5th Field Artillery, to Aug. 13; on temporary duty in France and Germany with Polish Typhus Relief Expedition, to Oct. 15; at Sinzig, Germany, with 11th Provisional Guard Company, to Nov. 14, when, while on duty at Officer of the Day, he was shot by an enlisted man resisting arrest and received wound from which he Died, Nov. 17, 1919, at Sinzig, Germany: Aged 23.
