(William Augustine Burns, Jr., Born July 2, 1900,
Military History. — Cadet at the Military Academy, Nov. 4, 1918, to June 13, 1922, when he was graduated and promoted in the Army to Second Lieutenant of Field Artillery. At Fort Sam Houston, Tex., with 12th Field Artillery, Sept. 17, 1922, to Sept. 4, 1923; at Fort Bliss, Tex., with 82nd Field Artillery, Sept. 7, 1923, to July 8, p1687 1924, when in fall of a horse which he was training in jumping for the Fort Bliss Horse Show he received injuries from which he Died, July 19, 1924, at El Paso, Tex.: Aged 24.
