Died, Sep. 13, 1854, at Ripley, O.: Aged 40.​a

Buried, Maplewood Cemetery, Ripley, OH.


Thayer's Note:

a The inscription on his tombstone (q.v.) states that he was in his 42d. year. It also titles him Capt., but that no doubt refers to his steamboat rank.
