Bvt. Second Lieut., 2d Dragoons, July 1, 1837.

Second Lieut., 2d Dragoons, Sep. 11, 1837.

Served in the Florida War against the Seminole Indians, 1837‑38.

Resigned, June 30, 1838.

Civil History. — Civil Engineer, 1838‑46. Asst. Engineer, Charleston, S. C., Louisville, Ky., and Cincinnati, O., projected Railroad, 1838.

Military History. — Served in the War with Mexico, as

Captain, 1st Kentucky Volunteers, May 30, 1846,

in the Northern States of Mexico, till he was

Disbanded, May 17, 1847.

Died, Feb. 4, 1856, near Baltimore, Md.: Aged 38.
