Christopher Van de Venter: Saw battle in the War of 1812 and spent seven years in the Army, followed by a civilian career in the War Department. |

Solomon G. Conkling: Died about a year after graduating. |

Augustus W. Magee: Resigned after three years, to command the now celebrated Gutierrez-Magee expedition from Mexico seeking to wrest Texas from Spanish control. |

Milton Haxtun: Died at 19 within a year of graduating. |
|
Anson Hall: Resigned after a year, and disappeared into civilian life. |
|
Abraham L. Sands: Ten years in the Army, in the South including action in the First Seminole War; then disappeared into civilian life. |
|
Theodore Randell: Resigned from the U. S. Army after less than two years, but fought in the War of 1812 as part of the South Carolina Militia; then civilian life as a planter with a bit of politics. |
