Churches of Nashville

[A patch of sandstone in which an elaborate Maltese-style cross, the ends like stylized maple leaves, has been carved in sunken relief. It is a detail of the cornerstone of Christ Church Episcopal Cathedral in Nashville, Tennessee.]

Nashville, like any other American city of comparable size, must count well over a hundred churches of several dozen denominations; you're seeing a very small sampler, even if it includes some of the largest and oldest churches in town. More importantly, a page of pretty pictures, despite what one sees out there, doesn't make a website: this orientation page is therefore just a placeholder. The gentle reader can expect to see most of the photos linked above gradually replaced by full pages with actual information (and more photos, of course).
