The inscription reads:
AUGUSTUS WILLIAM HARE LATE FELLOW OF NEW COLLEGE OXFORD AND RECTOR OF ALTON BARNES, WILT. Born at Rome Nov 17th 1792 Died at Rome Feb 18th 1824• The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith meekness, temperance Galatians V.22 |
