This is the only photo I have of the interior of S. Angelo: the church, private property and serving as a wine cellar, was firmly locked, but keyholes have got to be of some use, after all.
Despite superficial appearances, the structure is probably quite sound: the plaster hardly matters. The walls do not bow out, and what stone we can see is in excellent condition and with no large cracks. As long as the roof is good and water doesn't intrude — and no winegrower is going to let their cellar flood — the church is fine: maybe in a century or so it will be restored.
