You should not get the idea this sampler shows all, or even most, of the churches in Perugia and its surrounding territory, which must number at least six or seven times as many. In the actual town of Perugia, I know that at least 26 churches are missing from this page, almost always because I haven't seen them myself. The most important are: S. Maria di Monteluce just outside the NE gate of the city; and within the walls S. Agostino, S. Fiorenzo, S. Francesco al Monte, S. Francesco al Prato, S. Maria Nuova, S. Severo, the church of the Maestà delle Volte, and, inside the Collegio del Cambio, the chapel of S. Giovanni Battista.

You can expect some slight expansion of this page at some point; but serious improvements will have to wait my next trip to Umbria.
