84 Ἵππασος Μεταποντῖνος καὶ αὐτὸς Πυθαγορικός. ἔφη δὲ χρόνον ὡρισμένον εἶναι τῆς τοῦ κόσμου  p398 μεταβολῆς καὶ πεπερασμένον εἶναι τὸ πᾶν καὶ ἀεικίνητον.

Φησὶ δ’ αὐτὸν Δημήτριος ἐν Ὁμωνύμοις μηδὲν καταλιπεὶν σύγγραμμα. γεγόνασι δ’ Ἵππασοι δύο, οὗτός τε καὶ ἕτερος γεγραφὼς ἐν πέντε βιβλίοις Λακώνων πολιτεῖαν· ἦν δὲ καὶ αὐτὸς Λάκων.
