Here, in one of the four triangular corner panels of the dining-room mosaic, is a cupid depicted as Winter. He wears a birrus, a hooded cloak manufactured in Britain and, under it, a tunic and leggings. In his hands are a leafless branch and a dead hare, which often were used to identify the season.
